Sunday 2nd May, 2010
The website has been updated with the weekend's results!

So we're heading in to the last weekend of both the Premier League season, and the Predictions League.  Every match kicks off at 4pm on Sunday, and the title races in both competitions are not quite decided yet!  So good luck to those of you in with a shout of Predictions League glory! :-)

I may be away next weekend, for a week, so just to torment those of you in with a shout of winning something, you MAY have to wait for the site to be updated.  I'll confirm this during the week, if I can.  Sorry for any inconvenience!

The website has been updated with the weekend's results!

I've had to change some of the fixtures round this weekend with two matches having been moved to Monday.  With the last weekend of the Championship season being played this weekend, we now have the relegation decided between Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace and the match between Play-Off place chasing Swansea City and mid-table Doncaster Rovers.

A special mention to Per J Vang this weekend who was very close to predicting the correct score in Chelsea's 7-0 victory over Stoke City.  Per predicted the score to be 7-1!

This presents a very good opportunity to ask if anyone has any suggestions how to factor in predictions like this, which surely deserve more than the standard 7 points - the same 7 points someone who predicted a 2-1 victory gets?  It's something I've mulled over for some time, so if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears!

Wednesday 14th April, 2010
The website has been updated with the weekend's results!  One of the lowest scoring weekends ever with the highest score being 46, and the average only 27.85!  I can't remember the last time it was quite so low.  Still Soopa Seagulls gets the top score for the third time this competition, that's pretty impressive, and sees him retake top spot after a week away.

One change for the Weekend 15 fixtures: I have had to remove the Liverpool v West Ham United fixture as it's now being played on Monday.  Have replaced it with the top of the table Championship clash between West Brom and Middlesbrough

For those of you that weren't sure, the official Predictions League score for the Tottenham Hotspur v Portsmouth match is 0-0 - Extra Time never counts in the Predictions League.....

Tuesday 6th April, 2010
The website has been updated with the weekend's results!  This includes the closest PL Cup Final ever!  The result of which can be found by clicking the link on the left.

With the FA Cup Semi Finals taking place this weekend, there has been a pretty big set of changes in the fixtures.  To anyone who has already submitted predictions for Weekend 14, please check your scores as the fixtures have changed.

The website has been updated with the weekend's results!  Including here the results of the semi finals of the PL Cup!

Tuesday 16th March, 2010
The website has been updated with the weekend's results, once again apologies for the delay!

There was an interesting fixture in the PL Cup this weekend, with Dave Leese drawn against "Debs" (who I hope won't mind me outing as Deborah Leese), who I will make the bold leap to assume is his wife.....Who won the battle?  Click here to find out.....

Are they still talking after the weekend's match?!

Tuesday 9th March, 2010

The website has been updated with the weekend's results.  Sorry for the delay, have had a few health issues over the last couple of weeks, but things are on the up again, thankfully!

Special mention to Per J Vang who correctly predicted Everton's 5-1 tonking of Hull City - worth 18 points - and was also very unlucky with his prediction of the Newcastle Utd v Barnsley match - Per predicted 5-1, the actual result? 6-1!  And his 57 point total wasn't even enough to win the highest score of the week!  That went to Mogadon, who scored 62 points managing to correctly predict the result of every. Single. Match!  That would have made a nice accumulator!

Have had to make a quick change to the fixtures for Weekend 10 - taking out the Liverpool v Portsmouth match which has been moved to Monday.  Have replaced it with the very-Premier-League-sounding-but-actually-Championship-match Middlesbrough v Newcastle United match.

Monday 1st March, 2010

The website has been updated with the weekend's results.  Sorry for those of you who were disappointed I didn't include the Carling Cup final - I can't believe I missed that!

Anyway, a heady mixture of FA Cup Quarter Finals, Premier League and Championship matches this weekend, all co-inciding nicely with the First Round proper of the PL Cup (preliminary round matches available by clicking the option on the left)!

Good luck to you all!

Sunday 21st February, 2010

Well, back early enough from stag weekend and feeling surprisingly chipper, I thought I would get the site updated tonight.

The draw for the Preliminary and First Round proper of the 20th PL Cup has been made, and can be found here!

There have been a few changes to Weekend 8 and Weekend 9's fixtures - for Weekend 8, I'm not sure why the Manchester United match has been moved to midweek, or why Aston Villa and West Ham's match has been postponed, but they've been replaced with a Championship and a League 1 fixture.  Weekend 9's fixtures are messed up because of the FA Cup Quarter Finals, but I'll get that one updated asap.

Sunday 14th February, 2010

Second weekend in a row that the website has been updated on a Sunday night!  Next weekend is slightly trickier to call - I'll be away on a stag weekend (not mine!) until Sunday, so will update the site asap on my return!

Back to the Premiership for nine of the ten matches for Weekend 7, and next weekend the draw for the PL Cup will be published - the Preliminary round matches will be being played on Weekend 8.

Sunday 7th February, 2010

Website now all up-to-date - on a Sunday for a change!

Nice mixture of fixtures next weekend - we have the magic of the FA Cup 5th Round, plus one Championship and one League One match.

Right, well my PC has decided to go on a go-slow, so I will get this uploaded and go to bed!

Wednesday 3rd February, 2010

Website now all up-to-date - apologies for the delay, been a bit of a tricky week!

Special mention to Soopa Seagulls for getting the weekly top score for the second time in this competition - nice on Rich!

Tuesday 2nd February, 2010

Sorry for the delay getting this site updated - it will be done tomorrow evening.

Sunday 24th January, 2010

Wow, a full set of fixtures completed this week, for the first time in this Predictions League competition.  Here's hoping we've seen the end of the bad weather.

Only one Premiership match saw Wayne Rooney beat Hull City 4-0, not only did I (and Hippo Pete) correctly predict that score, but I also chose the perfect week to transfer him in to my Fantasy league team!  I just wish I'd bought a lottery ticket!

Oh, and I've updated the League Table link on the left, it now does show the correct league table - sorry about that!

The next round of FA Cup matches will be played on the 13th/14th February, and I'll update the fixtures for Weekend 6, once I find out if any Premiership matches will be taking place, as these take priority.

I've added Brighton v Millwall as the "TBA" fixture for this coming weekend.

Hopefully, normal service will be resumed this week in terms of sending out the reminder email......

Monday 11th January, 2010

Well another week without a complete fixture list, but at least there was only one match missing this time.

Obviously there is one results which stands out a mile this weekend; Everton's fine 2-0 victory over in-form Manchester City.....and, needless to say, no-one predicted Chelsea would get 7 lucky goals against a woeful Sunderland.

Weekend 3 sees 9 FA Cup matches and only 1 Premiership match, and the FA Cup is always interesting.....

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT SURE I WILL BE ABLE TO SEND OUT A REMINDER ON FRIDAY - JUST THOUGHT I'D LET YOU KNOW!

Sunday 10th January, 2010

A difficult start to the new Predictions League competition with only 2 of the 9 Premiership matches having been played, and of course the Championship match was also off.....

Amazingly, we did have one outright top scorer of the weekend, "bald41" managed to correctly predict the Arsenal score and got the right result for the Birmingham match, impressive stuff!

I've updated the fixtures for Weekend 3, to include the one Premier League match (Manchester United v Hull City), and the pick of the FA Cup 4th Round matches - some are still awaiting 3rd round replays, and I'll make the changes as they're played.

I hope you have all been able to enjoy the snow one way or another, I love it, but I have to say that hopefully we've seen the back of it for a while (famous last words!?)

Here's hoping for a few more matches this coming weekend!

Friday 8th January, 2010

Sunday's match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur has also now been called off.....4 down, 6 remaining, and I'm wondering if any matches will survive the big freeze.....

Friday 8th January, 2010

So far three of tomorrow's matches have been postponed:

Burnley v Stoke City
Fulham v Portsmouth
Sunderland v Bolton

I hear from club sources (sounds good that, doesn't it?!) that Chelsea expect the Hull City match to be postponed too, but the players are still travelling up (by train) and probably nothing will be decided until the morning.

As on previous occasions, when matches are postponed, they are just void on the predictions, so predict all of them, and those which aren't played will be ignored.

Stay safe everyone!

Monday 4th January, 2010

OK, everything is updated now, and the site is ready for you to start submitting predictions.  There are a couple of weeks which are all "TBA's" at the moment, I will fill these in asap.

Weekend 3 will be FA Cup 4th round matches, and I think Weekend 6 will be internationals.

The weekly reminders will, of course, be back this Friday.

Good luck to you all, and thank you for your continued support.

Monday 4th January, 2010
